Dreaming Damnations -Chapter Nineteen, Part Two On the next day she awoke with Pandora’s warm body pressed to her and her reflection from the Black Knight’s shed chest plate in her face. His neck guard’s plate sat at the foot of it, the word Aegis engraved into its black surface. Relishing her wielder’s dependence on her for warmth in the chilly morning air, Pandora purred.Dreaming Damnations -Chapter Nineteen, Part Two by ~KittyNocturna
“You up?” Sylvianne whispered to her, seeing her stir.
Narcissa sat up and shivered from the cold. It was barely dawn, the stars still visible in the sleepy, early twilight sky. The bright copper blonde of her hair –done up in pig tails this morning with her blue and red rose hairclips on either side –was dulled in the dim lighting.
“Yeah. How long have you been up?”
“An hour or so I guess. I kept having nightmares about the Red Duchess.”
Narcissa stifled a yawn as she groped sleepily for her high top shoes an
Dreaming Damnations -Chapter Nineteen, Part One The following morning Narcissa informed Pandora of the strange place she occasionally visited in her sleep and the new discovery she had made concerning that realm. Listening as she resided within her Alyss’s mind, the Cat turned almost kittenish in her mood since then. For Pandora, kittenish behavior had a rather devious edge to it.Dreaming Damnations -Chapter Nineteen, Part One by ~KittyNocturna
I really must join you next time, she had said, prompting Narcissa to ask if it was even possible after admitting she wasn’t sure there would be a next time. Of course, Pandora replied. A flygja can just as easily enter one’s wielder’s dreams as their thoughts. Narcissa’s mind wrapped around such an idea since then, imaging how the conversation with Fioralba would progress with as enigmatic a Cat as Pandora until Rook emerged from the boys’ room and she was reminded of his confession last night.
Daldrus later insisted on inspecting Rook’s arm himself. T
Dreaming Damnations -Chapter Eighteen, Part Two Surprisingly, she managed to find sleep after retiring to her blanket and pillow on the floor. Even with the paw of a large Cat draped over her in a feline hug as her warm breath tickled the back of her neck and the Black Knight’s dark hair brushing her face as he slept with Jedda in the ‘girls’ room. Komako used the Unicorn as a pillow as she slept horizontally two feet below their feet. She couldn’t recall at what point the sound of the room’s occupants’ breathing –light snoring in the Black Knight’s case –transformed into the ticking of unseen clocks in the obstreperous, surrealistic dream world, but she could hardly have wished for better timing.Dreaming Damnations -Chapter Eighteen, Part Two by ~KittyNocturna
Every hidden thing she almost seemed to sense in the dense mist evaded her path without truly moving. Any detail she actually managed to decipher amidst the brume soon eased out her memory. She coasted along throughout this realm paying no heed to the tick

Sylvianne and the Rose’s introduction to the rest of the team was neither cheery nor a catalyst for a fight. Jerund had cried himself out of a majority of his emotions by the time they returned with Rook. He awoke every now and then from one of the two spare rooms beneath the ground, mumbling indecipherably before relapsing into his dreams. Balding, tortoise-beaked Daldrus offered a homebrewed remedy to speed up his injury’s recovery, fortunately, and it proved far stronger than the few medicines that actually worked in the world of lunatics outside the dream. Medical practices greatly declined after the mass Lunar Effect, a trip to the hospital now a flirt with death. Myra would have been one of the rare competent ones in the medical field had she not been chosen as an Alyss.
